[00:00:00] Narration: What if Tim Ferris had a couple of child inflicted dents on his truck, a peanut butter smudge on his laptop, and still woke up every day feeling like the architect of his own life? This one's for the listener who's juggling learning and LEGO. For the person who heard the four hour work week and thought, that sounds amazing if I didn't have daycare pickup in twenty. See, I believe you can build a life of depth and freedom even with hockey bags in the hallway and eight four five pm snack negotiations with a seven year old. I believe that business class travel and bug spray can coexist.

[00:00:33] Narration: That you can optimize your life and know the name of every Pokemon. That deep work still happens after bedtime stories. An adventure doesn't end when someone calls you dad because I've lived it. You don't need to escape your life. You need to edit it, refine it, sharpen it with intention like a blade that only cuts the unnecessary. You can run your business like an athlete runs a season. On cycles of recovery and bursts of high performance. You can build wealth. Not just money wealth, but motion wealth. Where time expands, not contracts. Where a Tuesday afternoon trail run with your son feels like dividends paid in sunlight and breath.

[00:01:11] Narration: So no, I don't believe the four hour life is for everyone. But I do believe in the four hour feeling. That moment when your body, your business, your family, and your fun feel aligned. Because in this house, our meetings happen on hikes. Our boardroom is sometimes a beat up trailer named Nuts. And our greatest strategy sessions are held mid game, mid laugh, mid challenge. And so if you're listening right now, somewhere between an early flight and a packed lunchbox, between deep focus and bedtime stories, you already know. The four hour work week isn't about escaping your life. It's about designing it. It's not about doing less.

[00:01:50] Narration: It's about doing what matters on purpose with the people you love and with a rhythm that feels like yours. Because when you're building wealth and wonder at the same time, every hike becomes a board meeting, every ice cream a reward ceremony, and every silence a sacred pulse. You can study human performance and still watch Bluey on the couch. You can track your macros and still make s'mores on a Tuesday night. You can run the experiment that says presence is more powerful than perfection. You can raise wild little humans who grow up seeing that dad worked less hours didn't mean dad worked less hard. It meant he worked on the right things.

[00:02:24] Narration: And the most important thing was us. So if you're listening to this, wondering if your life disqualifies you from freedom, depth, or adventure, Let me say it clearly. Your family is not your anchor. They're your wings. Your kids won't hold you back from greatness. They give your greatness a reason to rise. Your spouse isn't your sacrifice. She's your secret weapon. And the four hour work week, it's not just for Bali bound bachelors. It's for dads with calendars and moms with courage and couples who choose to build, not balance. So what's the move? Start by designing rhythm, not rigidity. Create blocks of time that feel like you. Start early.

[00:02:59] Narration: End well. Say yes to less and more to what matters. Show your kids that building a life on your terms isn't selfish. It's sacred. And then, hit publish. Book the flight. Lift the weight. Record the podcast. Take the nap. Because your life isn't on hold until the kids are grown. It's happening now. See, I don't want to escape my life. I want to be so present in it that people ask, how do you fit so much joy into your calendar? I want to learn languages on flights with my kids. Not just to speak better, but to show them you can learn anything at any age. I want to angel invest not just for upside, but to build companies they'll

[00:03:37] Narration: want to intern at one day and still say yes to one more game of monopoly deal. That brings me here. To the crew I do it all for, The team I train hardest to lead. The tribe that turns motion into meaning. For all these reasons, and one hundred more we've never needed to name, this family is the fire. The rhythm, the reason. We all love treats and should probably give more praise than we do. We We drink our waters with minerals and moments. We tow an old trailer named Nuts like it's a badge of freedom. We compete like champions over ping pong, trail time, or who spotted the deer first. We don't sit still long. We move. We stretch.

[00:04:14] Narration: We stir things up. And when we're home, we're all in. So may you always feel praised, always stay curious, and always know your dad's favorite team is this one.
