[00:00:03] Dustin Serviss: Welcome to miniseries episode two, The Glow Zone, a new way to measure success. On the same topic of sort of happiness, wealth, because there is, you know, correlations, we built something called the glow zone. And what the glow zone is, is basically a relationship between happiness and wealth. As you come out of school and as you're articling, you're making a little bit of money, you're sort of building up some happiness. You make associate. Okay. You've got a bigger income boost, and then, you know, you're kind of in maybe partner... You know, you're gonna be partner. You're having those conversations or, you know, I...

[00:00:40] Dustin Serviss: Again, we got fifty one percent of your solo practitioners. So I know there are a number of you out there that were at a firm just like me and said, I gotta go, or there's something pulling me to be out of here. Or just out of pure frustration, you left. So there's sort of this... Your wealth, your... Maybe your income is going up, but your happiness isn't. And then you've got this zone where maybe you make partner. Maybe it's an income goal. Maybe it's a, you know, flexibility. You're increasing your happiness. Your wealth and your effort isn't going up that much, but you're really exponentially increasing happiness.

[00:01:11] Dustin Serviss: And then there is a point where... I'll make it a little bigger. You enter what we call the flat line zone, and the flat line zone is your your wealth and your effort is increasing. So you're getting, you know, wealthier in the... Let's say, richer in your bank account. You're buying more real estate. Your income's going up, and the effort is also going up because you you become more wealthy or as you become more rich or with money or stuff. Not talking about real estate or, you know, corporations. You got a law corp. You got a holding company. You got kids that are... You know, we need a family trust, and and the accounts are saying this.

[00:01:44] Dustin Serviss: All that costs money, and it all sudden becomes things you have to track. You need a better bookkeeper. You need to, you know, be more on the... You know, right now, it's like, you know, year end was December thirty first. The accounts are asking for all the, you know, for any of you who are doing that right now, it's it's a pain in the butt. So the more stuff you have, the more effort it requires. And then when you ask yourself, is my happiness actually increasing? And so that is a is a, you know, the glow zone. If you remember nothing, you remember the life clarity summit and the glow zone to check-in with what's happening in your own life.
